Your jobs, on your Google Calendar

Tradies Line answers the call and books the job. Connect Google Calendar and every job you book for yourself lands there automatically. On Teams and Enterprise, that's your own personal calendar. Your crew's jobs stay in the dashboard.

How it works

Booking goes out to your calendar, your calendar's busy times come back. Here is exactly what happens.

Jobs you book sync to your calendar

Every job you book for yourself lands on your primary Google Calendar, with the customer, address, time and notes. On Solo, that is every job you book. On Teams and Enterprise, it is the jobs you, the owner, assign to yourself. Your crew's jobs never sync.

On Teams and Enterprise, the calendar is yours alone

It syncs only the jobs you assign to yourself, not your crew's. Assign a job to yourself and it lands on your calendar. Move it off your own plate and it comes back off. There is no separate toggle to switch this on.

The assistant's own bookings, on Solo

On Solo, when the AI books the job instead of you, it only syncs once you switch on "Sync booked jobs to Google Calendar" in Settings (off by default). On Teams and Enterprise, the assistant books the job unassigned, and assigning it to yourself is what syncs it.

Your busy times, on Solo

On Solo, we check your Google Calendar for busy times before the assistant offers a slot, so it is less likely to offer a time you already have blocked out. On Teams and Enterprise, your calendar shows on the dashboard but does not change the times the assistant offers.

Your calendar shows up on the dashboard

Your existing Google Calendar events appear next to your jobs on the calendar view, so you can see your whole day in one place. We only read them. We never create, edit or delete anything already in your calendar.

Connecting it

Connect once from Settings in your dashboard, using your Google sign-in.

Which plan you need

Google Calendar works with Tradies Line on Solo, Teams, and Enterprise. On Teams and Enterprise it is the owner's own personal calendar, syncing only the jobs the owner assigns to themselves. Crews stay calendar-less, and upgrading from Solo to Teams keeps your calendar connected.

Why it is worth connecting

One calendar, not two

You already live in Google Calendar. The jobs on your own plate show up there too, so you are not checking two calendars to know what your day looks like.

Fewer clashes with your own life

On Solo, the assistant checks your calendar before it offers a time, so a personal appointment is less likely to collide with a new booking.

Your whole day, in one dashboard

Your Google Calendar events and the jobs on your own plate sit side by side on the same calendar view, without opening a second app.

Common questions

Does this change my existing Google Calendar events?

No. We read your existing events to show them next to your jobs and, on Solo, to help the assistant avoid your busy times. We never create, edit or delete anything already in your calendar.

Does my customer get a calendar invite?

No. The booking is added to your calendar only. Your customer is not added as an attendee and does not receive anything from Google Calendar.

What plan do I need for Google Calendar?

Google Calendar works with Tradies Line on Solo, Teams, and Enterprise. On Teams and Enterprise it is the owner's own personal calendar, syncing only the jobs the owner assigns to themselves. Crews stay calendar-less. Upgrading from Solo to Teams keeps your calendar connected.

Does this sync my crew's jobs on Teams?

No. On Teams and Enterprise, the calendar syncs only the jobs you, the owner, assign to yourself. Your crew's jobs stay in the dashboard and never write to your calendar.

Will this stop me from ever double-booking?

On Solo, it lowers the chances, it does not guarantee it. The assistant checks your Google Calendar's busy times before offering a slot, and falls back to your Tradies Line schedule if your calendar is slow or unavailable. On Teams and Enterprise, your calendar does not feed the assistant at all; it works from your Tradies Line schedule.
